Our Story
One lonely (2019) night, Mallory hopped onto one of her dating apps and matched with the most amazing looking man. She decided to shoot her shot and sent him a message. After not getting a quick enough response, she deleted the app only to find herself re-downloading it again, an entire year later (a dreaded game she often played during her single years). To her surprise, she had an unopened message from that same amazing looking man that she had little patience for one year prior. The two finally got on the same communication page, and their love story began.
Mallory knew after the first couple dates that Taylor was “The One” (she has the texts to her friends to prove it). Taylor on the other hand, took a little bit longer to come around to the idea but after 2 months of hangouts and Mallory asking him, “So, are you ever going to ask me to be your girlfriend?!”, he finally asked and it was official. For the next several months, Mal and Taylor would make the hour drive back and forth to see each other. Friday nights were often spent shaking for shots at Mountain Bay and Taylor spent many Saturday's taking Mallory around Appleton to his favorite bars and restaurants. Wednesdays became their designated “date night” and Taylor and Evelyn would make the mid-week trek out to Eland to cook an extravagant meal for their favorite girl.
One Wednesday “date night”, about 5 months in, Mallory took Taylor out to the lavender garden to tell him some BIG news—a baby was on the way! Both feeling a bundle of emotions, they embraced the new, unexpected journey. Before Baby Bo’s arrival, Taylor and Mallory spent their time taking small trips and attending several weddings. They visited family in North Carolina and spent their Babymoon in Charleston. They even squeezed in seeing one of their favorite artists, Chris Stapleton, at Summerfest!
One ridiculously foggy December night, Taylor and Mallory packed up the car and headed to Antigo where they would patiently wait to meet their little baby boy. On December 16th, 2021 (Mal’s birthday!) at 1:32 pm, baby Bo joined the world and changed their lives forever. Their love for each other grew as their love story began an exciting new chapter.
On August 20, 2022, Taylor officially sealed the deal as he got down on one knee
(in front of all their family and friends) and asked Mallory to marry him.
Their days now are spent chasing their 1.5 year old wild child and getting the farm renovated for the big day. It’s been exciting and stressful but they know it will all be worth it come October 14. The couple can’t wait to celebrate with everyone as they continue writing their love story.
